Club Rules

  1. Title
    The Club shall be called Hadleigh Camera Club.
  2. Object.
    The objects of the Club are the furtherance of Photographic Art and Technique among amateur workers and others, by exchanging friendly ideas and technical assistance among members as well as organising and holding lectures, demonstrations, exhibitions, competitions etc.
  3. Membership.
    Any person interested in or practising photography as an amateur or professional who agrees to actively support the Club’s objectives may apply for membership.
  4. Subscriptions.
    Entrance fees and subscriptions shall be paid six monthly or yearly in advance and such amounts may from time to time be re-assessed by the Club officials. A comfortable margin must be allowed for contingencies and other capital expenditure. No person shall be allowed to take part in a Club competition or enter for a Club exhibition unless his or her subscription is paid up to date. Membership of the Club shall cease if subscriptions are not paid for any six month period.
  5. Club Officials
    The officials of the Club shall consist of a Chairman, General Secretary, Treasurer, Membership Secretary, Events Organiser, Syllabus Secretary and a Print Competition Secretary, an Online Competition Secretary and any assistant officials as required.
  6. Committee.
    The affairs of the Club shall be managed by a Committee consisting of the Club officers and three members of the Club.
    6a. At Committee meetings, five shall form a quorum.
  7. Consitution Changes.
    No alteration or addition to these rules shall be made, except by a Special Meeting called in accordance with rule 6a.
  8. Finance.
    The Club's financial year shall run from September to July each year. A financial report will be available on request.
  9. Code of Conduct.
    The Salvation Army is a Christian Church and any person attending the Club must refrain from the use of bad language and partaking of alcoholic beverages whilst on the premises.
  10. Interpretation and Definitions.
    The Committee shall be the sole authority for the interpretation of these rules.
    10a. A copy of this Constitution shall be available to every member of the Club.

No alterations to these rules will be made except in circumstances as shall be deemed unavoidable and will be as mutually agreed by the Club officials.
